Children Programs

S.M.A.S.H. (Science, Math, and Some History) is on Mondays @ 4:00 PM.  S.M.A.S.H. is a STEM–based program for third – eighth graders that focuses on asking questions and promoting curiosity. Each week, participants will learn about a new topic and complete an experiment or project.

Block Party is Wednesdays @ 2:00 PM and is based around building blocks. There are only two rules, 1. no throwing blocks and 2. no knocking down someone else’s creation without their permission.

Lego Night is the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM and is for the whole family.  Duplo bricks are available for children younger than 5, Lego bricks are available for participants 5+, and Lego sets and Lego architecture are available for teens.  Adults are welcome to come and help their kids build structures.  This is a family affair, so bring everyone, be creative, and build awesome things!

Page Turning Pups is the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Registration is required and can be done by calling 570-752-2241 ext. 206 or by email to emmar@mcbridelibrary.org. This program is designed to increase fluency and confidence by allowing children to read to a dog for 10-minute sessions.

Teen Thursdays is a weekly program@ 3:30 that focuses on Teens and their ability to impact their world.  Each week a different topic is selected.

Second Thursday of the month – Teen Foodies
Third Thursday of the month – Teen Gamers
Fourth Thursday of the month – Teen Chat
Fifth Thursday of the month – Special Program
