S.T.R.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts & Math) is on Mondays @ 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM. STREAM is a STEM and arts-based program for third-eighth graders that focuses on asking questions and promoting curiosity. Each week, participants will learn about a new topic and complete an experiment or project.
S.T.R.E.A.M. Free Play Tuesdays and Thursdays @ 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Family-friendly, all ages opportunity to try out new technologies. Come play with legos, robots, tablets, Bloxels, Snap Circuits, and many other fun learning toys and games. Just ask at the Children’s Library desk for what you’d like to explore.
Intro to Art Wednesdays@ 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM. Learn about basic art skills while also learning about Art History. Drawing, painting, crafts, and even computer graphics will be explored with a new activity each week.
Lego Night is the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 PM and is for the whole family. Duplo bricks are available for children younger than 5, Lego bricks are available for participants 5+, and Lego sets and Lego architecture are available for teens. Adults are welcome to come and help their kids build structures. This is a family affair, so bring everyone, be creative, and build awesome things!
Page Turning Pups is the fourth Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 7:00 PM. Registration is required and can be done by calling 570-752-2241 ext. 206 or by email to email@example.com. This program is designed to increase fluency and confidence by allowing children to read to a certified therapy dog for 10-minute sessions.
STEM Squad is the third Saturday of the month @ 12:00 PM. This is a family-friendly, all ages opportunity to try out new technologies. STEM activities involve participatory technology, hands-on learning, and cooperative learning.
