Rating: E: A failed book - keep away !
Grade: 12

Comments: I thought that the book Friday Night Lights was one of the worst books i have ever read. I hated it. It was so boring, and nothing happened in the book at all It was a bunch of nothing. I dont even remember anything happening in the book or any conversations taking place. It was so hard trying to pay attention to that book. I hope i never come across a book like that again.

Title: Friday Night Lights
Author: H. G. Bissinger
Subject: Non-fiction
Rating: C: An O.K. book
Submitted by: Desiree M.
Grade: 11
This book is from: Other
Comments: Friday Night Lights is not necessarily an incredibly interesting book, and probably would not be considered a page-turner. It is, however, a good non-fiction account of struggles known to many athletes not only in that time period, but even now. It shows the rollercoaster of emotion felt by teenage boys dealing with racism, alcohol, favoritism, hostility, and perseverance. Because of the power and themes throughout the novel, is a book that will never prove to be obsolete. Although it may not be appealing to everyone, it should not be passed over.

Comments: This was a good story but J.K. Rowling could have done better. I will say that when you read this you will need a box of tissues. I found this book rather interesting. In this book the war is just beginning. I recommend Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince to anyone that wishes to read it.

Title: The Stalker
Author: Joan Lowery Nixon
Subject: Mystery / Suspense
Rating: A: Great book - Read it !
Grade: 9
This book is from: Home
Comments: This is a really great book about a senior in high school whose best friend Bobbie was taken away and put into custody by the police for a crime Jennifer thinks she didn't commit. Some one broke into their house and killed her mom Stella the murderer was looking for some "stuff". Everyone is sure she was the one that did it, but Jen doesn't think she did so she hooks up with a retired police officer, Lucas and tries to figure out who really killed her friend. She goes around asking questions and trying to find out anything that will help with the case. She ends up being threatened by the murderer and other characters end up getting hurt because she is asking too many questions. The murderer doesn't want anyone to slip any information that might help figure out who did it. Every other chapter in the book is told by the murderer they are either about him talking about Jen and how she is learning too much or about the "stuff" he is looking for. This is a really great book and anyone who is interested in mysteries should really consider reading this book.

Title: The Twisted Window
Author: Lois Ducan
Subject: General Fiction
Rating: B: This was a good book !
Grade: 9
This book is from: Other
Comments: The novel The Twisted Window is very suspenseful. It starts out like an ordinary boy meets girl novel, but it quickly changes to a suspense filled story. When you first meet Brad, you think he is a new student at Winfield High School, but you soon find out that he is not a student at that school, and he is not even from Winfield Texas. You learn about Brad’s plans to get back his missing sister, and why he needs Tracy. Everything that happens in the novel eventually ties together in the end, so read the whole novel to get all of the drama.

Title: The Twisted Window
Author: Lois Duncan
Subject: Mystery / Suspense
Rating: A: Great book - Read it !
Grade: 9
This_book_is_from: The High School Library
Comments: The book The Twisted Window was one of my favorite books because it's so suspenseful and really knows how to keep you in the book. It takes you into the life of Tracy Lloyd and how one new kid changes her whole life. Tracy was a quiet girl that really didn't want anything to do with anyone, until Brad Jonson came to town. Brad was a mysterious guy that caught Tracy's eye. The book is something you should read if you like to be in suspense and then have a twist at the end.

Title: Twisted Window
Author: Lois Duncan
Subject: Mystery / Suspense
Rating: C: An O.K. book
Submitted by: Scuba Steve
Grade: 12
This book is from: The High School Library
Comments: The Twisted Window is a mediocre suspense novel. It contains about three twists in the plot line which aren’t too surprising. It is a good novel for a beginner reader that doesn’t want to read a long and intricate story. But for those who enjoy very rounded characters with many characteristics this book wouldn’t satisfy. Lois Duncan did an okay job at connecting to young teens but I feel that an older teen would want more of an in depth plot line. Bottom line; the book Twisted Window is an average mystery/suspense that younger teen looking for a casual read might want to look into, but for anyone else there are better stories out there.

Comments: The book wasn’t really my style, but it was good and every thing. The suspense was awesome; it really made you grab your seat at some points. The author is Lois Duncan. The story is about a troubled boy, named Brad. He thinks someone has kidnapped his younger sister Mindy, so he finds someone to help him get her back, and her name is Tracy. What has happened to Mindy, and what does Brad want with Mindy?

Comments: The book The twisted window was a very decent suspenseful novel. I liked it a lot but it was a little on the short side! It was a very twisted book; in the way that what you didn’t think was going to happen happened. The very biggest twist is at the end so read the whole book!!! The whole book kind of develops the end so don’t even think about skipping to the back to read the end. All and all this is a good book I would rate it about 8.5 on a scale of ten.

Comments: “The Twisted Window” By Lois Duncan, is a book full of mystery, surprises, and a lot of suspense. I really enjoyed it, because it wasn’t too long, and because I really enjoy true stories, and it kept my interest. It’s about a boy named Brad, and he is looking for his kidnapped sister.
