Programming for teens is offered every Thursday from 3:30-5:00. These programs focus on teens, the issues they face, and their ability to impact their world.
Teen Build a Better focuses on making improvements in our lives and in the world – whether those changes be big or small. This program occurs on the first Thursday of every month.
Teen Foodies gives teens the opportunity to develop their independence with new recipes they make themselves. This program occurs on the second Thursday of every month.
Teen Tech explores the nature of technology in our world today. We discuss its impacts, plan for the future, and complete hands-on projects with the technology and gadgets the library has – iPads, VR goggles, coding kits, etc. This program occurs on the third Thursday of every month.
Teen Chat gives teens a safe space to be themselves and talk about what’s on their minds. Open discussions and stress-relieving activities take place. Snacks are always provided. This program takes place on the fourth Thursday of every month.
In the event of a fifth Thursday in any given month, a special program will be held. These programs often focus on community engagement and self-awareness. Guest speakers from local organizations often facilitate programs at this time for the teens.
